President met with the Prime Minister of Denmark
In the framework of the Fifth Eastern Partnership Summit, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held talks with Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
The Head of State praised the Danish government's initiative to host the Second International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine in 2018 in Copenhagen.
The President informed the Prime Minister of Denmark on the security situation in the Donbas and drew attention to the recent escalation in certain districts of Luhansk region. The two parties coordinated positions on the mandate of the future UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.
The interlocutors noted the common approach to the Nord Stream 2 project, an important component of which is the security dimension.
The Head of State thanked the Danish government for the continued support of Ukraine, a recent manifestation of which was the accession of Denmark to the co-authorship of the draft resolution of the UN General Assembly on the violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea.
