Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Anders Samuelsen visit to Ukraine
On February 20-21, 2018, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Anders Samuelsen visits Ukraine. The Danish Minister held talks with his colleague, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine P.Klimkin, met with Prime Minister of Ukraine V.Groysman and President of Ukraine P.Poroshenko.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Anders Samuelsen.
The parties discussed the security situation in the Donbas, the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the release of the Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners.
The interlocutors noted the importance and coordinated approaches in the framework of the international efforts on ensuring the deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in the occupied territory of the Donbas, including the uncontrolled area of the Ukraine-Russia state border.
The President thanked Denmark for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and its unwavering position in the issue of preserving the regime of sanctions against Russia until full restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Head of State thanked Denmark for the comprehensive support of the process of reforms in Ukraine.
The President praised the initiative of Denmark as regards holding the second international conference on the reforms in Ukraine in Copenhagen in June 2018.
The parties discussed further counteraction to the Nord Stream 2 project.
