Worthy purposes of entry into Denmark
17 July 2021 17:00

Please note that under the restrictions imposed by the Danish government due to the spread of coronavirus infection, entry into Denmark is also restricted from some countries.

Currently, the main factor regulating the possibility of unimpeded entry into Denmark is the colour category of the country where you are travelling are from, which is regulated by the inter-party Agreement on Gradual Reopening of Travel Activities, concluded by the Danish political majority.

At the moment, entry into Denmark without worthy purpose is possible only from countries that are labelled as “yellow” and “green”. Entry from “orange” or “red” countries is only possible if the traveller has a worthy purpose to visit Denmark. The list of such purposes is given below.

The Danish National Police, carrying out border control, denies entry to citizens of “orange” and “red” categories who cannot present or confirm a worthy purpose for traveling to Denmark. This also applies to holders of biometric passports.

From 17 July 2021, Ukraine is labelled as «yellow».
