Yurii Romanchuk has served as Counsellor at the Ukrainian Embassy in Copenhagen since July 2020. He assumes the role of Deputy Head of Mission. In this capacity, he engages with the governmental and parliamentary authorities of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Prior to his current position, he was posted to Ukrainian Embassies in London (2001-2004), Warsaw (2008-2010) and Washington (2010-2012). His responsibilities in these postings included addressing political, economic, legal matters, as well as issues related to interregional cooperation.

Within the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, Yurii Romanchuk contributed to various departments, including the Press Service, the Department of NATO, and the Territorial Department overseeing cooperation with European countries. Notably, from 2005 to 2006, he led the Office of the First Deputy Foreign Minister, responsible for Euro-Atlantic integration.

Before assuming his current post in Copenhagen, he held the position of the Head of the Western Europe Unit of the First European Department, where he coordinated bilateral relations with six European countries.

Yurii Romanchuk is a career diplomat. He graduated with honours from the Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He also holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, focusing on political issues in international relations and global development. Fluent in English, German, and Polish. He is married and has a son.
