The results and further plans of cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark in renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste incineration were discussed by representatives of the two countries' delegations at the Danish energy agency roundtable.
Ukraine was represented by Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk, MP, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee Oleksandr Dombrovsky, Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency Sergey Savchuk, representatives of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Center and profile companies.
Danish side was represented by the Danish Energy Center, leading financial institutions (Danida Business Finance, IFU, etc.) and Danish companies (Vestas, BWSC, COWI, Rockwool and others).
According to the Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark, Mykhailo Vydoinyk, Ukraine appreciates the opportunity to take the best Danish practices, innovative technologies and investments. At the same time, well-known Danish companies (Vestas, Rockwool, Danfoss) and financial organizations are already operating on the Ukrainian market. For example, the Danish Investment Fund IFU co-financed the installation of the "Old Sambir-2" and SES "Yavoriv-1" in Lviv region.
In turn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee Oleksandr Dombrovsky presented the current and planned legislative initiatives for the development of energy efficiency and clean energy in Ukraine.
Also, the Head of State Agency for Energy and Efficiency Sergey Savchuk outlined the investment attractiveness of the green projects market.
The sides also noted the role of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Center in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
In general, the round table participants agreed to continue collaboration between Danish and Ukrainian companies participating in renewable energy projects, energy efficiency and, more importantly, in the field of energy recycling.
