On March 7, 2019, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk met with the Administrative Director of the Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators Lars Thykier to discuss the cooperation in tourism sphere between Denmark and Ukraine. 

During the meeting, Ukrainian Ambassador emphasized that in touristic area Ukraine wishes to do much more to improve and use the full potential of opportunities for developing tourism between two countries. Ukraine wishes to attract more Danish travel agencies to operate or cooperate with their Ukrainian counterparts, and also attract more Danish tourists to visit Ukrainian cities and Ukrainian people to visit Denmark. For this reason, the flight company International Ukrainian airlines have started regularly direct flight Copenhagen-Kyiv and the other company WIZZ air has regular direct flights from Copenhagen to Lviv. 

Director of the Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators Lars Thykier discussed the importance of establishing permanent cooperation and dialogue with the Ukrainian and Danish travel industry to promote tourism development in both directions. Lars Thykier informed Ukrainian Ambassador that Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators (Danmarks Rejsebureau Forening) was founded in 1938 and represents Leisure Travel Agencies, Business Travel Agencies, IATA Accredited Agencies, Airline Tour Operators, Agents, Charter and Industry Partners - more than 100 members which give about 70% of the total turnover in the travel industry in Denmark.

The sides agreed to have a working meeting in the Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators for Ukrainian delegation in the touristic sphere on 16 May 10-12.00 to discuss more cooperation between two countries and promotion of touristic possibilities.
