On 26 April 2021, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Andrii Taran had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark Mrs. Trine Bramsen.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine informed his colleague in detail about the development of the security situation in the temporarily occupied territories and around the borders of Ukraine and possible ways of its further escalation.

Andrii Taran expressed gratitude for the consultative and advisory assistance provided by Denmark to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fulfil the tasks of defence reform and to strengthen the institutional capacities of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. They underlined the importance of the Danish support for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

For its part, Trine Bramsen confirmed further support for Ukraine and Denmark’s readiness to assist in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through political and diplomatic means.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine confirmed the invitation to the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark to take part in the celebrations marking the 30^th  anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine.
