On the 277th day of the war, on 27 November 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo Vydoinyk, together with the staff of the Embassy and the Ukrainian community of Copenhagen, took part in the Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service at the St. Ansgar’s Cathedral of the UGCC Ukrainian Spiritual Guidance in Denmark in order to honour the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 of this genocide.
In his address to the audience, Mykhailo Vydoiynyk emphasized that this year the commemoration of the victims of the Stalinist regime takes place during the full-scale military aggression of Russia against Ukraine, and the tragic events of the Russian-Ukrainian war clearly show that the living memory of the victims of the Holodomor is very important. “Moscow is once again using genocidal practices against Ukrainians, because in this war Russia pursues the same goal as during the Holodomor – to destroy the Ukrainian identity and nation,” the Ambassador added.
