On the 395th day of the war, on 25 March 2023, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk took part in the annual assembly of the “Moderates” party. In his speech during the event, he noted the role of this political force as “one of the most important pillars of support for Ukraine, an integral part of the coalition government, and the foreign policy captain who sets a pro-Ukrainian reference point.”
The head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission noted the leadership of the Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen, which he demonstrated when he visited Ukraine together with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Deputy Prime Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen in January of this year, being almost at the front line in Mykolaiv, in the reconstruction of which Denmark plays a leading role.
He also thanked Minister for Culture Jakob Engel-Schmidt for his strong support in the opening of the Ukrainian House in Denmark, and also noted the efforts to rebuild Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and help strengthen Ukrainian universities, backed by members of the “Moderates” – Minister for Higher Education and Science Christina Egelund and Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard Møller.
“I am confident that the union of Danish pragmatism and Ukrainian determination will bear fruit soon. I am sure that the Danish innovative spirit and Ukrainian courage on the battlefield and in business will become a successful combination that will allow us to create many productive joint projects,” the Ukrainian Ambassador noted.
Mykhailo Vydoinyk reminded the audience that soon a decisive battle will take place on the Eastern Front that will have an impact on peace and stability not only in Ukraine. Therefore, Ukraine asks and insists that the weapons arrive in Ukraine without delay and is in dire need of protecting the sky.
According to the Ukrainian Ambassador, even when the battle on the battlefield ends, Ukraine will continue the fight for the final victory of European standards in the state, and then Ukrainians will once again count on Danish experience and advice. “Because we are on the same European path, we protect common values and ensure the sustainability of our common European home,” said the Ambassador of Ukraine.
