The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, then the participants took part in a joint prayer and performance of the spiritual anthem of Ukraine “Lord, oh the Great and Almighty, protect our Ukraine”.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk focused in his address on the main milestones in the establishment of Ukrainian statehood, the long and difficult path to independence, including the current stage of defending our independence in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Chairman of the Association of Ukrainians of Denmark, Chairman of the Volunteer Union of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Denmark “Bevar Ukraine” Andrii Kuzmyn, priest of the Ukrainian pastorate in Denmark of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Reverend Vasyl Tykhovych, Chairman of the Danish-Ukrainian Society Ivan Nester Nielsen also addressed the participants.

During the event, Ambassador Mykhailo Vydoinyk awarded diplomas to representatives of the Ukrainian community for significant contribution to the development and strengthening of Ukrainian-Danish relations, organization of collection and delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, promotion of Ukrainian language and culture in Denmark, promotion a positive image of Ukraine.

During the holiday, attendees had the opportunity to listen to Ukrainian poetry and perform Ukrainian songs.
