During the event, the spouse of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Khrystyna Vydoinyk addressed those present congratulating children and teachers with the beginning of a new school year. She wished easy and interesting work at school, success in learning the Ukrainian language, and also stressed upon the importance of supporting and developing of Ukrainian language and culture in Denmark. Khrystyna Vydoinyk underlined the Embassy’s readiness to provide all possible assistance to the school.

School principal Anastasiia Honchar and priest of the Ukrainian pastorate in Denmark of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Reverend Vasyl Tykhovych also made welcoming remarks.

Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo Vydoinyk awarded diplomas to active members of the community who make significant efforts for the development of the school.

The Ukrainian Saturday School “Lastivka” in Copenhagen was founded in September 2014 and became the first school of the Ukrainian Organization “Lastivka” in Denmark.
