On 16 November 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk attended the opening of the charity exhibition “Сopenhope for Ukraine” at the “Sapere Aude” gallery.
The exhibition presents the works of modern Ukrainian artists and sculptors, including Vasylyna Kolomyiko, Ivan Pylypenko, Nataliya Bagatskaya, Mark Gres, Stanislav Topchiy, Yuriy Musatov, Liza Portnova, Nina Murashkina, Karine Arutynova, Kateryna Tsypeniuk, Maria Kulikovska, Marusya Abashidze, og Alexander Anokhin.
More than 50 works of art are on sale – paintings, watercolors, other works on paper and ceramic sculptures. The collected funds will be transferred to charity and support of Ukrainian artists and their families in Ukraine.
The organizers of the exhibition are the organization “Nielsen Saloner”, the online gallery of modern art “KobArt” and the Ukrainian Embassy in Copenhagen. The curator of the exhibition is Helena Thomasson.
The exhibition “Copenhope for Ukraine” will be held from 17 to 26 November 2022 at Gallery Sapere Aude (Ved Glyptoteket 6, 1575 Copenhagen V). Founded in 2018 by Peter Heisler, the gallery focuses on high-quality Danish and international contemporary art. The Latin phrase “sapere aude” which means “have courage to use your own reason”, is associated with the Age of Enlightenment of the 17th and 18th centuries.
