It was on this day seven years ago, when the Ukrainian army suffered the greatest losses as a result of Russian aggression in the east of the country. Then sunflowers were in blossom in the fields where Ukrainian defenders were dying. Therefore, the sunflower became a symbol of mourning for the dead Ukrainian heroes.

Today, on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, we give thanks to the Heroes who gave their lives for our peaceful future! We will remember them!
