Oleksii Reznikov informed his Danish colleague about the current situation at the front and thanked for the strong solidarity and support of Denmark in this difficult time for the Ukrainian state.

“I value our friendly relations with Mr Minister Bødskov. We touched upon the issues of strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian army, the implementation of bilateral projects in the defence sector, and discussed our positions for the upcoming meetings in the format of the Copenhagen Conference for Northern European Defence Allies of Ukraine. I am satisfied with our common understanding of cooperation in the medium and long term,” said Oleksii Reznikov.

Morten Bødskov noted the heroism of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and stressed that Denmark would continue to support Ukraine in its struggle for independence against the Russian aggressor.

The Head of the Danish Defence Ministry also acted as a moderator of the Copenhagen Donor Conference for Northern European Defence Allies, the second meeting of which was held online.

The assistance provided by the allies should address the use, maintenance and production of modern high-tech weapons, the prompt replacement of lost military equipment and the repair of damaged or decommissioned weapons, as well as the exchange of combat experience.

New Allies′ contributions to the International Fund for Ukraine, created during the first session of the Conference, will be announced after the Conference participants consult with their governments. Mid-November is the deadline for donations, after which the first purchases will be made.
