On 14-15 September 2022, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk attended an important event devoted to strengthening the Nordic startup ecosystem – the annual networking festival “TechBBQ 2022” in Copenhagen.

8 Ukrainian startups arrived in Denmark, which were selected at an online competition by the Ukrainian Startup Fund together with “TechBBQ” as part of the US State Department Initiative “Global Innovations through Science and Technology”:

• “S.Lab” – production of biodegradable packaging and decor items from technical hemp and mushroom mycelium;
• “GIOS” – a platform for studying mathematics and developing critical thinking of schoolchildren;
• “Akurateco” – a certified software provider that includes a number of payment tools and services;
• “i3 Engineering” – a complete solution for Smart Home and business automation, which consists of controllers, software and its own mobile application;
• “Zeely” - business promotion with convenient marketing tools for non-marketers;
• “SmartZavod” – professional 3D printing for creating prototypes;
• “Qela App” – a tool for conducting political or social campaigns using the gamification mechanism;
• “AirLaw.Pro” – air passenger support service to protect clients’ rights.

During his visit to the Ukrainian stand, Ambassador Mykhailo Vydoinyk talked with Ukrainian teams and also presented their developments to a number of Danish investors. He separately thanked TechBBQ Global Partnership Manager Nicklas Pavoncelli and Coordinator in “InnoVisionDenmark” Sandeep Sander for financial and organizational support of the Ukrainian stand. The Ambassador also noted the activity of the Ukrainian Startup Fund in the active promotion of the Ukrainian creative industry on international markets.

During the festival, a number of panel discussions took place, some of which, such as “Startup Agility in Times of Crisis: The War in Ukraine”, were devoted to the war in Ukraine and support of Ukrainian talents.

While at the festival, the Ambassador met with HRH The Crown Prince, Leader of the Social Liberal Party Sofie Carsten Nielsen, Leader of the Conservative People’s Party Søren Pape Poulsen and Leader of the Liberal Party Jakob Ellemann-Jensen who at the invitation of the Ambassador visited the Ukrainian stand.
