On 22nd of October, 2020, the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark together with DTEK Academy and in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine and Danish non-profit organization of public-private partnership "State of Green" successfully conducted an online seminar for top managers and middle managers (38 participants) of DTEK Group member companies. The program "Energy of Innovation: Executive MBA" was launched last autumn. The main program feature is that the participants should design and provide breakthrough business projects for DTEK during their study on MBA program.
EnergyLab Nordhavn, Energinet DataHub A/S, Ørsted A/S and Vestas Wind Systems A/S were among the participants and key speakers at the workshop. The representative of the Embassy took an active part in the work of the seminar.
The participants of the program «Energy of Innovation» got acquainted with the best practices of Danish business in implementing innovative technologies and the most advanced ideas and know-how in the field of renewable energy and energy saving.
During the online tour, which serves as a roadmap to preparation for the study tour by representatives of DTEK Group companies to the Scandinavian countries, including Denmark scheduled for the end of April 2021, participants of the upcoming tour got acquainted with the specifics of the Danish energy sector, including Danish climate legislation, global industry challenges,
D. Venturini, Team Leader for International Cooperation at the Danish Energy Agency, shared information on the Danish experience of cooperation between the state and business to achieve common goals in both the energy sector and the UN Sustainable Development Goals to reduce carbon emissions. Denmark is a recognized world leader in the production of wind energy per capita with an ambitious but very realistic goal - by 2035 to completely switch to renewable sources in the production of heat and electricity. Information on the status and prospect of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Center, which s financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (DANEP program) and operates under the supervision of the Ministries of Energy of the two countries providing expert and technical support in creating favorable environment for investments in sustainable energy in Ukraine, achieving goals for the share of renewable energy, namely 11% share of renewable energy in final energy consumption by 2020 and 25% by 2035, energy efficiency and energy independence was presented.




Piter Aagaard and Simon Foss Børresen, representatives of Ørsted company, one of the largest Danish multinational corporations (29% of the world share total installed capacity of offshore wind generators, market capitalization - USD 15.6 billion, 50.1% owned by the state) shared the experience of withdrawal of investments from the oil and gas industry in 2017 and the transition to clean energy.





Igor Nus, a representative of the Danish renowned company Vestas, the world's largest manufacturer of wind turbines (installed more than 66,000 wind turbines with a capacity of 100 GW in more than 80 countries on five continents) made an extensive presentation of the wind energy market and introduced the latest large-scale projects of the company, in particular the status of participation in projects in Ukraine, in particular the supply of turbines with a total capacity of 164 MW for the German company "Vindkraft" - the builder of the wind power plant "Mirnenskaya" in the Kherson region. The contract provides for the supply, installation and commissioning of 39 turbines, as well as a 20-year Vestas management and maintenance agreement. The company is studying the possibilities of expanding its activities on the Ukrainian market, including the issue of setting up the production of individual components of wind turbines at local facilities.
