The parties discussed the implementation of Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark.
Olha Stefanishyna emphasized Denmark’s participation in the financing of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) which strengthens the potential of Ukraine’s newly established anti-corruption institutions and external monitoring of reforms by parliament, civil society and the media.
In addition, the Vice Prime Minister noted that the joint efforts of the Government of Denmark and the EU to support important reforms in Ukraine as well as synchronizing of development of strategic documents for cooperation with Ukraine will strengthen Ukraine’s European integration processes.
“I hope that the next 5 years of our cooperation will significantly strengthen bilateral relations between our countries in various fields and at all levels,” said Olha Stefanishyna.
For his part, Jeppe Kofod noted that the strategic goals of cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark are democracy and human rights, sustainable growth, “green transition” and increasing energy independence, as well as peace and stability.
