On the 419th day of the war, on 18 April 2023, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk met with Jens Bjørn Andersen, Chief Executive Officer of the leading Danish transport and logistics company “DSV”, as well as with Executive Vice Presidents of the company Simon Holm Galsgaard, Road Transportation, and Henrik Nielsen, Air & Sea Transportation.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark expressed his gratitude to the management of “DSV” for the humanitarian and logistical assistance that the company has been providing to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression against our state. Separately, he thanked for the principled decision to withdraw from the Russian market in protest against the invasion.
In turn, the CEO “DSV” said that from the first day of the war, the company agreed to provide its services for sending humanitarian supplies to Ukraine free of charge, not only from Danish donors, but also from businesses from other European countries. In addition, despite the hostilities, in May 2022 the company decided to resume full-fledged operations in Ukraine. According to Jens Bjørn Andersen, there are currently about 230 employees working in the Ukrainian branch of “DSV” and the company is very proud of them.
During the meeting, the prospects of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine were also discussed. As the CEO of the company noted, “DSV” is ready to continue providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and also looks to the future with optimism and is interested in the further expansion of logistics services in the Ukrainian market.
