The present status and prospect of company's activity in Ukraine were discussed, including further expansion of its inland serviсes (rail and truck haulage) further to existing PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, Maersk Line and TIS LLC (Odesa region) container trains that run from Kyiv and Chernihiv cities to the Chornomorska station (TIS) at Pivdennyi port providing "door-to-door" scheme within the global delivery system of Maersk.
Q2 2020 results of Maersk showed that despite the Covid-19 pandemic container volumes lines managed to actually increase the EBITDA by 25% to $1.7bn in Q2 2020 compared to $1.4bn a year earlier owing to improvement in core ocean sector, strong cost performance across all of Maersk businesses, lower fuel prices and higher freight rates on ocean and increased profitability in logistics & services.
