The Ambassador discussed with Director of Department for Trade and Market Relations Kenneth Lindharth Madsen and Director of Department for Food Safety and Veterinary Issues Jens Munk Ebbesen the current status and prospects of bilateral cooperation in agriculture, as well as further support by Denmark of agribusiness development in Ukraine.
Representatives of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council informed on the preparation, together with the Danish Foreign Ministry’s Trade Council, of a working visit of a delegation of representatives of a number of Danish livestock companies to Ukraine scheduled for 4-8 October 2021. The trip will be focused on the development of pig breeding in Ukraine on the basis of advanced Danish experience and the latest technologies. Meetings with leading Ukrainian pig farmers and pork producers are planned to be a part of this visit.
The interlocutors discussed separately the participation of the Ukrainian delegation of businessmen and specialists of agro-industrial complex in one of the largest specialized exhibitions of agricultural mechanization in Europe “Agromek” to be held on 29 November – 2 December 2022 in Herning (Central Denmark Region).
In addition to the presentation of the national stand, the participation of Ukraine’s expert delegation of Ukraine in this annual event will help to determine the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in agro-industrial production. It will also provide an opportunity to learn about the Danish experience in agriculture which implements the most advanced achievements of science and technology.
Ambassador Vydoynyk also raised the issue of expanding funding for educational programs and training for graduates of Ukrainian agricultural educational institutions in Danish agricultural educational institutions, as well as of increasing opportunities for Ukrainian students to undergo occupational training in Danish business structures of agricultural profile.
