In a warm atmosphere, Ambassador of Ukraine Mykhailo Vydoinyk and Bishop Bohdan discussed a wide range of issues on the agenda of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the Ukrainian community in Denmark.
The interlocutors devoted considerable attention to issues of cooperation between church and state, the organization of joint events to bring the truth to Danish society about Ukrainians and Ukraine, its current development and difficult pages of the historical past, such as the Holodomor.
Bishop Bohdan emphasized the importance of uniting the Ukrainian community around the Church and praised the activities of local Ukrainians both in cooperation with the UGCC and in supporting and promoting Ukrainian culture and traditions in Denmark.
Ambassador Mykhailo Vydoinyk, for his part, stressed the important role of the Church in the life of Ukrainians outside their homeland. He thanked the priest of the Ukrainian Pastorate in Denmark, Reverend Vasyl Tykhovych for his spiritual and educational work, and expressed the assurance that the Embassy will provide all possible assistance to the Ukrainian Pastorate in Denmark, including to deepen cooperation with the local Ukrainian community.
